Chapter 11: Returning the shine in her eyes.
Ikuto and Kukkai's eyes widened in shock as they froze and saw her begin to fall off of the balcony.
Amu closed her eyes, ready to fall and break her neck on the concrete below. Then she felt something, she opened her eyes in shock, Ikuto had grabbed her arm, saving her from the fall. Amu looked at Ikuto, "please...dont let go." she said. Ikuto looked in her eyes and saw the shine, he almost smiled but then her eyes turned blank again. He pulled her up so she wasn't hanging off the balcony anymore. He sat her down on the gound, Kukkai came closer to them then Ikuto stood up. Kukkai bent down and whispered in her ear, "i'm so sorry." then he carefully pulled the microchip out. It left a mark on Amu's skin, but at least it wouldn't effect her thoughts anymore. She blinked a few times then looked at her hands. Ikuto went over to Kukkai who was now standing up. "I'm glad you've come out of your bloody fantasy!" Ikuto snapped at Kukkai. Kukkai glared at him. Ikuto glared back, "have you learned how its not all about you, yet?" Ikuto snapped at him again then punched Kukkai. "what's your problem!? I took it out!" Kukkai snapped at Ikuto. Ikuto pushed Kukkai backwards, "My problem is that you weren't thinking about her! You're so damn selfish, you have no idea what you did! plus, she almost broke her neck because of your damn micro chip and not to mention your own thoughts of just thinking of yourself!" Ikuto yelled at him. Kukkai pushed Ikuto backwards this time, "I get it! I get what I did wrong, so stop your god-damn lectures!" Kukkai yelled. Then, just like before, Ikuto grabbed Kukkai's colar and slammed his back to the wall. He had his hands around Kukkai's neck, "No, you dont get it! Did you even look into her eyes!? and see how miserable she was!? did the thought of her thoughts and feelings ever cross your bloody mind!?" Ikuto shouted at Kukkai. Kukkai looked down and said in a low voice, "no." Ikuto gritted his teeth, "thats w-" he started to say. "Stop!" Amu interupted, yelling at the top of her voice. Ikuto and Kukkai looked in her direction, she was balling her eyes out crying. She looked at the ground again, she was sitting down, she gripped her hands.
"I dont care. I dont care about not knowing whats going on and how I got here. I dont care that my neck hurts. I dont care who did what or what happened. I dont care who's fault something was. I dont care why your fighting. just...just STOP!" she yelled at the top of her lungs. Ikuto looked at Kukkai with hateful eyes. They glarred at eachother and heard Amu coughing in the background, then they heard Amu gasp. Ikuto released his grip on Kukkais neck then heard Amu scream so he looked at her, shocked. Amu stared down at the ground. Thoughts and fears rushed through her as she stared at what she had just coughed up, Blood.
Her eyes went heavy and she fell unconscious and before she could black out, all she could hear was Ikuto and Kukkai screaming her name.
She felt the darkness swallow her up, she couldnt breathe and within seconds, she could hear her own heartbeat, she felt as though everything was fading away. She heard voices, "she's..gone" a sad voice said. Another voice screamed, "No! Amu! breathe, stay with us! Amu! wake up! wake up! wake-" then the screaming voice was interupted. "Stop it! she's gone! theres no pulse, no heartbeat, nothing! we can't bring her back! it's too late!" then the screaming voice came back, echoing "NO! NO, NO, NO!" then screaming her name some more. Amu tryed to call out to the voices but it was if her body and mind was lost, the darkness was thick and she could see nothing but all she could hear was a heartbeat getting weaker, then she was lost, because at that moment, the heartbeat, her heartbeat had stopped, forever.
