Chapter 6: Jealous Violence

Soon it started to sprinkle and eventually there was light rain and there Amu was, lying unconscious in a place far from home.

Amu was covered in darkness and then she started to hear something, a voice. "Amu! Amu! Open your eyes! please Amu! Breathe, Breathe! Amu! Can you hear me!? Amu! Breathe! Breathe! Amu!" it was Kukkai's voice, his voice was shaking he sounded scared. Amus eyes began to open and she saw him above her,

she was in his arms."Ku...kkai" she whispered in a weak voice. As he saw her eyes open relief covered his face. Amu began to shiver, her skin was icecold. 

Kukkai put his jacket around her and hugged her tightly "Your...alive" he whispered to her, "You werent coming back to me, i didnt know what to do, but

eventually you began to breathe again." kukkai explained.The rain started to get really heavy and cold, Amu shivered and held back her tears, "i dont know what to do" Then Amu lifter her head to look at him but she ended up seeing Ikuto in the corner of her eye and she looked at Ikuto, who was standing there watching them. Then Kukkai noticed Ikuto was there too and Kukkai clenched his jaw. Kukkai let go of Amu, Amu looked at Kukkai in confusion as Kukkai stood up and faced Ikuto with an angry expression. Kukkai and Ikuto stood there staring at eachother in a not so nice of a way. 

Amu looked at them both "Ikuto? Kukkai?" but they ignored her.

"Why, why did you put those things through her head!?" Kukkai yelled at Ikuto

Ikuto stood there, "I wouldnt know what your talking about"

"You were asking her so many things. You were questioning her feelings so she started to doubt and thats what you wanted, isnt that right!?" Kukkai yelled.

"What would i get from making her doubt what she felt towards you!?" Ikuto responded, annoyed

"You would get her! and thats what you want right? Thats why you kissed her, because you knew i was there, listening and watching " 

Amu looked towards ikuto, her eyes watery. "Ikuto is that-" amu asked him, Ikuto looked at her then Kukkai

"like hell i would do that!" Ikuto yelled at Kukkai. He was telling the truth, he hasnt known.

"dont lie to her!" Kukkai said as he ran to Ikuto to punch him, but Ikuto hit Kukkai first, which sent Kukkai skidding back. 

"Ikuto!" "Kukkai!" Amu yelled to them.

"I wouldnt lie to her. I kissed her because i wanted to" Ikuto said. Kukkai got up and ran to Ikuto again even angrier and Kukkai punched Ikuto this time. Then Kukkai went to punch Ikuto again but Ikuto got hold of Kukkai's wrist 

"Thats a bloody lie! You dont care about her! all you care about is your god-damn reputation." Kukkai said to Ikuto. Ikuto gritted his teeth. 

"I dont give a damn about that! I was there because i could see how bloody miserable she was but you couldnt!" Ikuto said as he swinged his other fist at kukkai. 

"What the hell are you talking about?!" Kukkai said as he stood himself up straight.

"please stop...please" amu said, with her head in hands. But both Kukkai and Ikuto ignored her.

"You would have asked her whats wrong if you noticed but god-dammit your just ignorant, you let her feel that way!"  he yelled at Kukkai.

"shut up you dont know what the hell your even talking about!" 

"If she was happy, then why the hell would she come crying to me!" Ikuto yelled to Kukkai

Kukkai froze a little, he looked down at Amu who had her head in her hands crying. Then Kukkai looked back at Ikuto,

"What about you, dammit? Im sure you knew she was here, bloody out in the cold unconscious." 

"If I knew, i would have been out here before you could have freakin thought about her!" Ikuto told Kukkai

"Im always bloody thinking about her!" Kukkai said and with full force pushed Ikuto backwards.

 "You think im not! because you got it damn wrong!" Ikuto stood himself up and grabbed Kukkai by the colar

"but if you were always thinking about her then why'd you leave her to go out here alone!?" Kukkai pushed Ikuto again.

"You damn.." Ikuto began to punch kukkai and kukkai began to punch ikuto. but Amu ran in the middle "PLEASE STOP!" she said, stopping them both before

they could punch eachother. She fell to her knees in the middle of them, she stared at the ground crying, "just stop." then Kukkai was about to say something 

and he moved his hand but Amu grabbed his hand and stopped him, He looked down and saw her pleading eyes "stop, please...please" she whispered. 

Then she let go of his hand and turned to Ikuto, she looked up at him, "Ikuto" she whispered. Then ikuto sighed and looked in another direction.

 

 

The next day, Kukkai came to see Amu, they walked around the park.

"Im sorry for not being there for you" he said to Amu

"Im sorry for what happened." Amu said, looking at the floor

"Amu, do you love ikuto or me? "

"i dont know"

"do you want to continue going out"

"im afraid something like that will happen again and i just dont know what to do."

Kukkai sighed, "I guess friends then, huh?"

Amu looked up at Kukkai "but i-"

"When your ready, Amu. Im going to ask you to be my girlfriend again. but im not giving up on you, I love you too much to do that. " Kukkai said as he 

kissed Amu, hugged her and left.

 

Amu stood there in the middle of the park. She felt devastated and confused but she eventually went home. 

 

Later on, Amu was standing there on her balcony looking at the sky when Ikuto appeared and he stood there next to Amu.

"I heard that your boyfriend left you" Ikuto said casualy looking at the sky.

"you were listening?" I asked looking at him

"no, but Yoru was." Ikuto said still looking at the sky.

"oh" Amu said looking her hands that were leaning on the rail of the balcony just like Ikuto was. There was a pause between them but then Ikuto looked at Amu,

"you feeling better?" Ikuto asked, "feeling like your going to fall unconscious again?" 

"no, im alright." Amu said looking at him, wondering why he was asking these questions. 

"good" he said as he went behind Amu and wrapped his hands around her waist. Amu blushed. He whispered in her ear, "I wont leave you"

then he pulled her tighter to him and they stayed like that for a few moments.

"I want to be there for you and i want to be with you" he whispered. He unwrapped his hands from Amus waist and he turned her around to face him. 

Amu stood there looking at him as he looked at her, he pushed her hair back with his fingers, his face came closer to hers. Then he said

"Amu" he paused, amu closed her eyes. then he finished his sentence, "be mine"

Amu opened her eyes, shocked, 'did Ikuto just ask me to be his girlfriend?' she thought.

Ikutos face was inches from hers, but he was waiting for an answer.
