Chapter 8:Rescue

Amu woke up. She looked around, she was in the alleyway. She froze, because along with the two men, Kukkai was gone.   

 

She looked around and kept calling Kukkai on her phone, but he wouldnt pick up. She went home then saw Ikuto on the couch, for some reason he was waiting for her. He stood up and went to her, "Ikuto!" she said trying to get her breathe back from all the running. She tryed to tell him what happened but her voice came out weak. He came closer to her, "Amu, whats wrong?" he asked. "something bad happened-" she managed to say, but then Ikuto looked shocked then, pulled the hair near her forehead back, she thought he was going to kiss her, she moved his hand away and said, annoyed, "this isnt the time for that Ik-" "no amu" he

interrupted but paused and did the same thing again, he pushed the hair near her forehead back, "your bleeding" she blinked in shock and went in the bathroom and looked at her head, Ikuto was right, she was bleeding and badly. The blood was a little covered up by her hair, but if you looked closely you could clearly see it, she had blood pouring down from the top of the right side of her forehead, past her eye and even down to her jaw. Even then, it was still bleeding but not as much as  it seemed to have been. Amu pulled her hair back, tying it up and then Ikuto came in with some wet tissues. He turned her to face him and he began wiping the blood on her head, she winced in pain so he paused and then continued. "what happened to you?" he asked still wiping the blood off and occasionaly getting a new tissue from the bench beside them. Amu stood there and explained everything, Ikuto paused in shock a few times but he didnt let her see him worry and finally after Amu finished explaining Ikuto then had wiped up all the blood, all that was left was the big scar with a bruise around it. "he should of protected you more" Ikuto said as he put the tissue on the bench with the others.

Amu shaked her head and looked at the ground, "no, i should of thought things through." she said then Ikuto was about to say something but didnt. Amu looked on the bathroom bench with the basin but as soon as she saw all the blood filled tissues that she knew was her blood she began shake in shock, then she felt woozy. Ikuto put his hand her shoulders, "Amu, look at me." she slowely looked at him

"forget about the blood and wound, alright? or you might pass out from loosing so much blood. Talk to me, tell me what your planning to do" he explained. 

There was a silence but Amu finally spoke, "I was going to ask you for help, to get Kukkai back"

The vice head of Easter, Ikuto's stepdad, stood before Kukkai, who was sitting on a chair with his hands tied behind his back. "what do you want?" Kukkai snapped at the man. Ikuto's stepdad looked out the window, with his back to Kukkai, then he turned and looked at Kukkai, "We want Hinamori Amu" he said. Kukkai clenched his jaw and said between his teeth, "why?". The man grinned "for the embryo, of course. We all know that Hinamori Amu is the only one who can get 

it and your job is to be the bait. " he explained. Kukkai moved forward "damn you!" Kukkai yelled at him. The man pulled Kukkais phone out of his pocket, "Lets call Hinamori, right now shall we? she's been pretty worried, look at that, 13 missed calls from Hinamori Amu" the man said as he showed Kukkai his phone Kukkai gritted his teeth. "We better call her back" he said then went to contacts list and called Amu. He spoke into the phone and told Amu the address and that he had Kukkai and was expecting her.  Once the man hung up the phone, he looked at Kukkai who was fiercely glaring at him. "Dont look at me like that, boy." Ikutos  stepdad said and continued, "after all if Hinamori Amu fails to hand herself over to us, we have another method and your going to help us." Kukkai snapped at him,

"why the hell would i help you!?" The man chuckled and got a micro-chip from a suitcase the was sitting on the table next to him. He picked up the micro-chip and held it between his fingers as he showed Kukkai,

"Oh, yes you are." he said. Kukkai snapped at him again, "what are you going to do with that? hypnotize me or something"

the man smiled. "smart boy. You know the basics of what this is, but its not for you, you see you have it all wrong because through your own free will this is you are going to use...on Hinamori Amu" he said. Kukkai stared at him in shock, then in confusion. the man continued, "This is what you need right? to get  what you want-a relationship with Hinamori Amu, you want Ikuto away from her aswell, am i wrong? well, with this she will listen to your every words and act as you wish, for example: if you were to tell her to stay away from Tskuyomi Ikuto then she will do just that." Kukkai looked at the micro-chip then he looked at the ground,

"I cant do that-" Kukkai started to say.

"Yes you can" Ikutos stepfather interrupted, "It wouldnt be selfish, you just need to think of it like this; you're doing good for her, Ikuto wouldn't be able to hurt her, which is what you're afraid of right? plus she will realise her feelings and she wont be confused anymore and if shes sad she will go to you not Ikuto, you see if you were to do this, you would be thinking of her more of yourself." he explained.

Kukkai looked at the ground and thought hard, then hiding his worry he looked at the man with fierce eyes again and asked, "what do you gain from this?"

the man  smiled, "simply an unused chip put to use and besides if after youve inserted the chip you can just simply take it out, but makes sure you put the chip at the bottom of her neck, on the side, facing her shoulder." he said, as he indicated where the chip was to go. "if you put the chip, say on her arm it wouldnt work because it dosent have a correct line to her brain. Now, its all yours." He said as put it in a tiny case that was as small as a babys hand and put it in one of Kukkai's tied hands.

 

Kukkai was locked in a room and his hands were untied. He looked at the micro-chip in his hand, thinking what to do. 

A couple of hours later there was a break-in at Easter and soon Amu and Ikuto found where Kukkai was kept, they were spotted but Ikuto's stepfather told his men to let them go, "the boy, will follow through my plans, we just need to be patient and then we will have Hinamori Amu then after that, the Embryo." he  said. They made a narrow escape and as they were walking to Amus house Ikuto told Amu how he had somewhere he needed to be and he took off, leaving Amu and Kukkai alone. Kukkai walked Amu home. Amu unlocked her home and went inside and Kukkai followed, once he was inside he noticed how quiet it was.

looking around he said, "that right, your family's out and your charas are barely around, huh? must be lonely." Amu gave an awkward laugh, "yeah thats true, but its kinda hard to be alone, with you and Ikuto around."

there was a pause then she looked at Kukkai with worried eyes, "im glad you're okay." she said as she  hugged him. Then Kukkai pulled the micro-chip out of his pocket and poked it into the bottom of Amu's neck at the side, her arms released him and he looked into her eyes, "What...did you-" she said slowely then her eyes changed and she fell to her knees. He went to his knees and put his hands on her shoulders,

"Amu?" he said. She looked up at him, with different eyes than usual,

"yes, Kukkai?" she said with a blank expression. Kukkai stared at her, the micro-chip had took effect but, she looked as if the life had been sucked out of her. Her expression was blank and the shine in her eyes was gone.
